Azek Deck With Built-In Bench in Whitefish Bay, WI

This outdoor living space was created as a smooth transition from the indoors to the outdoors. The deck was designed just like an interior room. The fire pit is great for making s’mores, but the ledge on the fire pit doubles as a table. The custom built-in deck bench is as comfortable as a couch.

Using pressure treated framing at 12″ O.C., we installed the deckboards diagonally to structurally enhance the space as well as to give the decking visual interest.

We put the Acacia colored deckboard on top of the white handrail to coordinate the decking color into the handrail. It works perfect because the deckboard is the same thickness as the Azek post sleeve.
